The Chaparral Suite at Lynx Creek Farm is a charming accommodation located just 7.2 miles or 20 minutes from downtown Prescott. This suite, nestled on the far end of the log cabin at Lynx Creek Farm, offers a delightful retreat with its private deck, hot tub, fire-view wood stove, and a plush king bed. Decorated with mementos from the ranching days of Bob and Jeanenne Temple in northwest Colorado, the suite exudes a cowboy motif with Western books, pictures, and antique furnishings.

The bedroom features an old vanity and an easy chair, catering to antique lovers, while a glass door from the living room reveals the warm ambiance of the real wood fire during cold winter evenings. Air conditioning ensures comfort in the summer months. The private bath, built into the log wall, includes a tub/shower combination.

The living room and full kitchen are named for the ivy wallpaper decorating the kitchen area. A Murphy Chest Bed in the living room converts into a queen bed. Guests can enjoy outdoor grilling with the available gas grill. Entertainment options include a Smart TV and a DVD player.

For hiking enthusiasts, numerous paths and riparian areas are available at the bottom of the hill along Lynx Creek, with fishing opportunities at Fain Lake just a half-hour's hike away. Lynx Lake, a short drive into Prescott National Forest, offers additional fishing and boat rentals. The suite's deck provides breathtaking views of Lynx Creek and the Bradshaw Mountains, creating a peaceful and beautiful atmosphere.

The Chaparral Suite is part of the Log Cabin at Lynx Creek Farm, alongside three other 1-bedroom accommodations that collectively accommodate up to 12 persons. The Log Cabin boasts two kitchens, four full baths, three hot tubs on three decks, two wood-burning stoves, and ample parking.

Guests have access to their bedroom, bath, kitchen, living room, and private deck. The Venue, a communal area, is also available for use.

Your hosts, Greg & Wendy, reside in Prescott and are readily available for any assistance or inquiries.

Prescott, named one of the Happiest and Healthiest Cities in America, offers scenic beauty, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming small-town atmosphere. Renting a vehicle for your stay is recommended, and taxis and Uber services are readily available.

Please let us know if you are bringing dogs and how many. We allow dogs but also charge for them. Dogs are $15 per night per dog plus tax. There is also a 1 time $10 flat fee.

This vacation rental is in a neighborhood with permanent residents. Your right to use this privately owned home is conditional on not disturbing the neighborhood. If the owner or Prescott Cabin Rentals receives complaints regarding noise, activities or trespassing that disturbs neighbors you may be asked to leave immediately. No outside noise or music after 10 pm.

Pets are allowed but guests must be very considerate. No accidents, no damage, no poop and no hair. You must cover beds and furniture if you are allowing the pets to jump up. You might consider bringing your own vacuum to make sure there isn`t any hair left behind. If left alone in the accommodation we ask that they are crated if there is a risk of damage or accidents. There shouldn`t be excessive barking that would disturb the neighborhood.

Dogs are $15 per dog per night plus tax and onetime $10 fee that goes to the housekeeper.

Check-in starts at 4 pm. If you would like to check-in early you must contact me. Early check-ins are granted the night before or the morning of the check-in. There may be a charge if it is a large property. The same with late check-outs. You must request this the night before or morning of the check-out.

Smoking is only allowed outside.

Sweet Retreat is a cozy cottage located just 5 minutes (1 mile) from Prescott's charming downtown Courthouse Plaza. A leisurely walk takes about 23 minutes. Nestled on a historic, picturesque street surrounded by boulders and pine trees, this retreat, built in 1925, is tucked beneath the main house, offering a unique stay within a boulder cavern.

Naturally temperature-controlled, it's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The bedroom features a queen bed and smart TV, along with a large closet for ample storage. The mini kitchen is well-equipped for preparing anything from light snacks to gourmet meals, with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, air fryer, toaster, and hot plate, plus all the necessary cookware and dishes.

The bathroom includes a stand-alone tub with a showerhead, and its private window offers beautiful views. Linens, towels, and sheets are provided. Outside, enjoy a fenced-in courtyard with a sitting area, propane grill, and stunning northern views—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Sweet Retreat offers good Wi-Fi and plenty of privacy, making it one of Prescott’s hidden gems. However, please note there is no air conditioning, as the below-ground design keeps it naturally cool. There is also no washer/dryer on-site, but we offer weekly linen exchanges, and a nearby laundromat ("Clean & Fluffy") is just 2 miles away. You may hear occasional light noise from the upstairs residents, though they are quiet and respectful.
