Cobbler’s Cottage is a beautiful, historic house located just 1.3 miles or 6 minutes from downtown Prescott.
Cobbler’s Cottage is a beautiful, historic house located just 1.3 miles or 6 minutes from downtown Prescott. This classically designed Tudor house has a steeply pitched gable roof, a playfully elaborate mason chimney and embellished doorway. Inside you will find groupings of windows and decorative half-timbering with exposed wood framework making a delightful little cottage for your enjoyment. Built in the 1920’s this was the dwelling for one of the founders of the Hassayampa Hotel on Gurley St.
This property is a two bedroom, one bath that sleeps four. Each bedroom has a queen bed. The living room features a 52” Smart TV. Smart TV’s are a technological convergence of computers, televisions, and digital media players. A Smart TV can access the internet via Wi-Fi, whereas a normal TV cannot. A Smart TV also has the facility to run apps that come built into the TV. The main difference between a Smart TV and normal TV is that a Smart TV is smarter than a normal TV. This TV was added sometime after 1920. Haha! The open-beamed high ceilings and large windows make a splendid space to relax and enjoy as you rest your feet from today’s adventures. The gas fireplace is cozy and inviting for those cool winter evenings. The hall bath has a bathtub/shower combination and pedestal sink. The east window brings in radiant light as you wash your troubles away. All linens are provided with towels and sheets. Just bring food and clothes. The full kitchen is stocked with all pots, pans and dishes. Whether it’s a light snack or full gourmet meal your chef should be nicely satisfied. The dishwasher and stainless steel gas stove were also added in recent years. Out the kitchen door you will find a peaceful patio with a seating area and gas grill. This area is fully fenced giving your dog a wonderful vacation of it's own. Summer cookouts are enjoyed while soaking in this lovely tall pines neighborhood. A charming carriage house comes equipped with a ‘mini’ ping pong table. This will provide hours of entertainment as you sip a cold beverage and enjoy Prescott’s balmy nights. The front porch has a rocking bench as you savor your first cup of coffee and watch the neighborhood deer who amble through looking for a snack. A gravel driveway takes you up a gentle slope where a short staircase leads you to the front door. High speed Wi-Fi, A/C and heat and washer/dryer bring modern elements to this historic cottage.
